Guidelines:

A project proposal template [Word Document; 66 KB] is now available.

We are currently reviewing initial project proposals and trying to figure out which ones will be best suited for our purposes and goals. If you, or anyone you know, have any projects that you want to work on, and would like to get some support from YFN, let us know. We are here for you and are willing to assist you in any way possible. However, we would like to also make it clear that it is YOU who are working on the project and we are here merely to facilitate the process for you.

  1. We advise you to keep the overall idea simple and short. Given that you are doing this in your free time and will have other commitments, simpler and shorter projects are more likely to be successful, and hence more likely to be funded. However, this is NOT a requirement for a project.
  2. You must have an objective and an overall execution plan in mind when you consider the project. We can help you figure out the implementation steps, but we still expect you to take the lead and develop the plan.
  3. You should have a budget in mind for your project. We can also help you figure it out.
  4. If all members of the project are minors (under 18 years of age) and the project is implemented outside the city of residence, or requires overnight stay elsewhere, we expect that an adult will be accompanying you. YFN will not support such projects otherwise.

Our mission limits us to work in the three fields of education, environment and health, but there are limitless avenues for growth in these fields. If you have any project that you want to pursue in these fields, let us know.
